Tech Day 2016 was a convergence of students from 3 different locations (San Jose Hillview library, Saratoga and Livermore) of the semester long entrepreneurship bootcamp run by Shivaum Kumar, rising Junior at Saratoga High School, Founder of the Silicon Valley Coders Club
This coding club is open to all for no charge and is focused on helping students take creative ideas, developing business plans, translating that into a finished prototype/ product. We have had about 150 kids gain some news skills over the last semester. Many new products were developed.
The winners at the 2nd annual Silicon Valley Youth Technology Day: Team from our Saratoga location, Team Colorprints henna printer - a finished working robot prototype - specializes in henna for people who can’t do henna designs or find someone to do it. It is fun, fast, and easy to apply henna using the Colorprints printer. They are all rising 7th graders
Abinaya Senthil from Basis Independent School, Cupertino resident
Sachita Kashyap, Kennedy Middle School, Cupertino resident
Swati Vemulapalli, Basis Independent School, Santa Clara resident
Pranuthi Thota, Lawson Middle School, Cupertino resident

The 2nd Annual "Silicon Valley Youth Tech Day”, hosted by the youth for the youth of our community.
This Coders club started in 2015 and is running currently in San Jose, Livermore and Saratoga. We expect to launch 2 new locations in Fall 2016. Our offering is open to all and available for no charge to every youth of Silicon Valley. Our mission is to create an opportunity environment for every Silicon Valley youth to learn about software, apps and programming from each other, sparking the zeal and tools for entrepreneurship. With that purpose we run the Startup bootcamp for kids a semester long program that provides the ABCs of entrepreneurship, showing a roadmap of how to take a creative idea and turn it into a commercial product.
